Looking for Dry Cabin for Rent!

Single mature woman and her dog, ideally looking for a dry cabin for rent under $1000 starting in September. Moving from Watson, I love the outdoors- having hiked across the country I am versed in "roughing it". If you have a space for me please reach out to me by phone 647-937-2301

Following this checklist will greatly reduce the chance of attracting bears and inviting conflicts.
•    Garbage and compost stored indoors, in a bear-proof container or surrounded by electric fencing.
•    Compost sprinkled with lime to aid in decomposition and reduce odour, dried leaves or grass clippings.
•    Potential den sites like crawl spaces under decks and buildings are blocked.
•    No trash, groceries, animal feed, coolers or any odorous items are stored in your vehicle or in the back of a pick-up truck.
•    Native and non-native plants that bears eat have been removed from high-human use areas and playgrounds.
•    Bird feeders are stored away until after bears den or are bear proof. Birdseed is stored securely indoors.
•    Vegetable gardens are fenced with electric fencing, and vegetables are harvested as soon as they ripen.
•    Pets are fed inside and their food is stored indoors. No dog bones are lying around your yard. Cats and other small pets are kept indoors when unsupervised.
•    BBQ is clean and all grease and food residues have been removed. BBQ, meat or fish dryers and smokers are stored indoors or in a secure shed.
•    Freezers and Food Storage Keep freezers and all food in your house or in a secure, locked shed.
•    Petroleum products are stored in a secure area where bears cannot access them.
•    Chicken coops have electric fencing around them.

For more detailed information and recommendations on products please see: https://wildwise.ca/managing-attractants/ and/or the Grizzly Bear Protection Yukon Group: Grizzly Bear Protection Yukon | Promoting Grizzly Bear Conservation in the Yukon And, remember, always carry pepper spray and make noise when you are out on the land. Keep yourself, your pets and bears safe this summer.
